Young Vinnies
At St Joseph's we are very lucky to be able to offer our Seniors the opportunity to join the Young Vinnies.
This is an optional commitment members make to serve others in our community. After making the decision to join, children are officially commissioned by The St Vincent de Paul Society. They meet during morning tea time and use their own time to help those in our community who need help.
Here are some of the ways they help:
- visiting the elderly in local homes
- collecting and organising non-perishable food items
- fundraising for local causes
- making crafts and cards
- cleaning the Church
